The notifications functionality in Voipswitch has been recently redesigned to serve different purposes, to realize various forms of actions in response to particular event. For example the notifications will be used for new voicemail, new incoming SMS, new Instant Messaging messages, system information, low balance, DID payments and so on. Some of them were already supported in our system but now, with introduction of this new architecture, we plan to integrate them all and enable users to manage it from one, uniform menu.

At this moment, as the first form of notification we have implemented new voicemail event. User can select different actions per callerID of the person who left the message and then associate it with different actions. Available actions at this moment are:

• notification via SMS
• notification via email
• email with voicemail message as attachment in MP3 format

  In addition a user can define different actions depending on time of the day and day of the week.
