Besides http methods and SIP protocol, Voipswitch now supports also SMPP (Short Message peer-to-peer) protocol. More about SMPP you can read in wikipedia SMPP is broadly used in exchanging SMS traffic among wholesale SMS providers. Adding its support to Voipswitch allows VoIP providers to benefit from much lower rates for SMS by utilizing direct connections to carriers. More information soon in our Online Documentation
